The existing annuity article has grown to be very long over the years, and a lot of the content focusses on SPIAs. So I propose a new stand-alone page for SPIAs. The existing annuity article would become an overview on all types of annuities, with much less SPIA-specific content, making it shorter and more readable. --Quebec 15:38, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- Good idea. Wikipedia:Splitting says "If an article becomes too large, or a section of an article has a length that is out of proportion to the rest of the article, it may be appropriate for some or all of the article to be split into new articles. In some cases, refactoring an article into child or sister articles can allow subtopics to be discussed more fully elsewhere without dominating a general overview article to which they are non-central". --Peculiar Investor 19:02, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- The second image (Annuity payout versus age) has been updated after it was inserted in the page, to include labels for the pink and blue curves (female, male). Yet the article still displays the old version, at least on my computer. Help please! --Quebec 20:18, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
- I am seeing the female and male labels in the image. It could be a browser caching issue with your computer, try CTRL+F5 to hard reload the page. Another thing to remember is you can try the steps in Manual:Purge to clear the server side cached page. --Peculiar Investor 00:00, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

- This article, which had reached sufficient maturity in my opnion, was moved to Main space so that the main Annuity article can now be worked on (including deletions of material now covered here).
