Category talk:Retirement living
Purpose of the category and organization
I'm scratching my head trying to figure out this category. The main articles information seems more geared to snowbirds and traveling in retirement, as does the {{Retirement living sidebar}}. Those seem more niche than what I would consider retirement living. Maybe some of the {{Retirement planning (general) sidebar}} items in the Retirement spending and Withdrawal methods sections would be a better basis for this category's main articles. Thoughts or other ideas? --Peculiar Investor 11:51, 19 January 2021 (MST)
- Some articles could be both part of 'planning' and 'living', like Canada's retirement income system is already in both categories. However I would not delete anything from the 'planning' category; withdrawal methods are part of the knowledge you need for retirement planning. Similarly for retirement spending, you want to start to look these things before you retire.--Quebec 12:23, 19 January 2021 (MST)
- Agreed. I've rewritten the category description, added a few more articles into the category and updated the {{Retirement living sidebar}} to have a 'Financial' section and 'Travelling' section (where I left the existing entries). Better but still a work in progress. --Peculiar Investor 13:09, 19 January 2021 (MST)
