Talk:Emerging markets
Two ETFs covering the MSCI are linked directly later in the article. No citation is needed.--Shakespeare 01:41, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- I used citation needed because it's the closest thing to describing the problem. When we say Some actively managed Canadian mutual funds are available we need to give specific examples or at least link to a list. The same applies to the other flags I've raised. I'll noodle a bit and do the editing. Don't worry about it unless you want to edit my upcoming edit :) --yielder 01:55, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've already added a Globefund list and links to BGI and Vanguard. That should take care of it. --Shakespeare 01:59, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Emerging market indexes
The table comparing all the different emerging market indices is ten years old. In the EM world, this is potentially badly out of date. Since most Canadians will invest in EMs through ETFs, the only two indices that matter are those of MSCI (used by Ishares and BMO) and FTSE (used by Vanguard). And the only big difference is the inclusion or exclusion of South Korea. So the entire table could be replaced with a sentence about Korea, and then there wouldn't be a need to maintain the table in the future. I propose that the table be deleted.--Quebec 06:07, 19 May 2020 (MDT)

- Late to the discussion but I concur with the decision to remove the table. --Peculiar Investor 08:04, 9 September 2020 (MDT)
