This one is the proper name of a Government of Canada program (per Service Canada, CRA and a couple of other government websites I checked) and therefore the title should remain capitalized. Peculiar Investor 09:18, 24 November 2013 (MST)

A number of the Service Canada links are dead links (404 errors). Marked them until such until clean-up of the article is undertaken. A more general question is how to distinguish content of this page from the Service Canada page shown in External links? Let's say you applied for and received guaranteed income supplement for serval years. Then your interest income was high enough that revenue canada stopped it. Now that interest rates are so low, income is low again, Does one have to apply again or does revenue canada, on reviewing your tax return automatically start it again. Please clarify.

I want to know if a foreign pension,which is tax exempt under tax treaty,is part of the g.i.s.calculation.

If there is a tax treaty with the country your pension is from, you can claim a deduction on line 256 for the part of your foreign pension income that is tax-free in Canada.

Foreign pension is on line 115. Since line 256 is not part of GIS application form, foreign pension that has a tax treaty must be included... and seems to count for GIS purpose.

Services Canada website does not work for the form section, so I cannot find a link for such form.

The Services Canada Forms List is here - it works for me. I don't see any forms with '2015'. Perhaps the intention is for tax year 2015, not a form number? I'm a US resident and can't help you any further. --LadyGeek 20:58, 25 July 2017 (CDT)

The forms list page does not work from my computer. I think the intention was for tax year 2015. I am able to find specific forms from Google.

I am not sure we should include such information the finiki page. They should call Service Canada I guess?

I agree the information should not be in finiki.
