ETF holdings
I propose that the lists of holdings for each of the 3 REIT ETFs be deleted. These lists can be found on the ETF providers websites. They change constantly, especially the percentages. I don't see any value in trying to maintain them updated here, or showing outdated lists if we don't maintain them. Comments? --Quebec 05:43, 17 April 2020 (MDT)
- I would generally agree. Would there be any value in redoing the table to show which ETF held which REIT, and ignore the percentages? Otherwise I agree we should mention that there are ETFs as another means to purchase and hold and leave it to the reader to understand what's in each ETF and other ETF specific details. --Peculiar Investor 06:29, 17 April 2020 (MDT)
- "...which ETF held which REIT..." again that might change over time (mergers, privatizations, index changes...). I don't think we show detailed ETF holdings for any other asset class.--Quebec 14:33, 17 April 2020 (MDT)
- Good point. So are you suggesting removing the tables? If they are not maintained and will be outdated then they should be removed. --Peculiar Investor 16:24, 17 April 2020 (MDT)
- Tables were deleted, but the number of holdings is mentioned.--Quebec 08:45, 18 April 2020 (MDT)

Vanguard fund composition
Here is a related page I did on the Bogleheads' wiki: Percentages of REITs present in Vanguard index funds That was nearly 8 years ago (2010, revised in 2012). I haven't touched it since - it was a lot of work.
The talk page shows how the table was created. --LadyGeek 15:00, 17 April 2020 (MDT)
